Change… the only thing in life that stays the same.
Change can feel sad, scary, exciting, alive, invigorating and so much more. When I moved to California, I was so excited but also sad to leave my friends, family and all the people I really love from the east coast. I chose to feel the sadness, the scary bits, and push through and make the move, as I felt in my heart, this change was what I wanted. Currently, my roommate is in the process of moving out, very suddenly, and a new roommate is moving in. I feel sad, but it is totally out of my control. The important thing is to acknowledge how we feel, ask for help and keep moving forward.
If we resist change, if we don’t face it, don’t accept it, if we block it or push it away, throw a fit or put up a wall against it, it can create imbalance, stuckness and make us sick. Go with the flow of change and life will be easier.
How to stay positive and go with the flow of change??? Remember this…. “Everything that happens is happening for me (and not to me!)”. Every bit of change in our lives presents a new opportunity for us (growth, learning, seeing things from a different perspective, new, different path, that may be better than we could have ever imagined). So no matter how you’re feeling as you go through change, just remember, “Everything is happening for you and through you!“ There is a higher plan at work and all the changes happening are exactly what you need in this very moment! So keep trusting, keep smiling and keep taking care of you! We’re all in this together. Cheers to change! :)
